  • THOMAS G. DAMIANO, P.E - Principal (1935 - 2016)

    Mr. Damiano founded the firm in 1972 with Pat Barile. He dedicated more than 50 years of his life to the profession of engineering. By the time of his retirement in 2008 Damiano Barile Engineers, P.C. was one of the leading engineering firms in the region. In addition to extensive experience in public school work, institutional, commercial, residential and industrial projects. His commitment to sound, practical engineering principles is a hallmark of the firm’s portfolio.
  • PAT M. BARILE - Principal (Retired)

    Experience

    Mr. Barile dedicated more than 50 years to the art and science of engineering design.  With his guidance Damiano Barile Engineers, P.C. became one of the region’s leading consulting engineering firms.  Mr. Barile started his career in the early 1950's and served in Rome, Italy as Liaison Consultant for the Place Victoria Project in Montreal, Canada.  In the 1960's he continued his pursuit of excellence in engineering and was the lead mechanical engineer and project manager on such important projects as the Hudson River Museum Complex in Yonkers, NY.  He also supervised the design and construction of the Forest Biology Laboratory and Library buildings for the State University of New York, Syracuse, NY.  In 1972 Mr. Barile joined Tom Damiano in establishing our firm.  Together they developed a practice that fosters a collegial approach to the profession of engineering emphasizing robust, practical solutions with our client’s interest placed first.  He maintains regular contact with the firm and is an invaluable resource for engineering expertise.

  • LAURENCE J. BARILE, PE, LEED AP – Principal

    EXPERIENCE

    Mr. Barile has 30+ years of in-depth experience in HVAC design and modern commercial and institutional building construction.  As president of the firm he provides leadership in setting company goals and overall philosophy.  He personally oversees the planning, design and construction of many of the firm’s projects and maintains involvement on all projects.  Mr. Barile is a second generation owner and literally “grew up in the business”.  Joining the team at the age of 11 as an unpaid office boy, he worked his way up through the ranks as a draftsman, designer, engineer and project manager.  He was a pioneer in the field of computer aided drafting and design (CADD).  Upon graduation from Manhattan College Mr. Barile joined Syska and Hennessey in their NY City office where he was one of the early adopters of AutoCAD for that firm.  Today Mr. Barile continues his commitment to advancing the field of building design to ensure a sustainable built environment for future generations.

    EXPERIENCE

    Mr. Gallagher joined the firm in 1992.  He has more than 25 years experience in mechanical systems design.  Mr. Gallagher serves as Principal-In-Charge and Project Manager on many of the firm’s projects.  In 1999 he earned the position of Associate and in 2008 became a partner in the firm.  Mr. Gallagher is the client point of contact and performs HVAC, Plumbing, Potable Water Systems and Fire Protection design, construction administration, probable costing, allocation of office work flow, and project coordination of all trades.

    EXPERIENCE

    Mr. Restivo joined the firm in 1998.  In 1999 he earned the position of Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for the firm, he supervises and performs the design of electrical power and lighting and fire alarm/security systems, calculating of probable costs, construction administration and coordination of trades.  In 2016 he earned the position of Senior Associate.  Prior to joining the firm Mr. Restivo was a project engineer with Edwards & Zuck, P.C. and Jack Green Associates in New York responsible for electrical design including projects in the NBC Building at Rockefeller Center. Mr. Restivo also held the position of Project Manager for Turner Construction where he oversaw the construction of complex projects in Stamford, CT and Brooklyn, NY.

  • WILFREDO GAN - CAD Draftsman

    Mr. Gan joined the firm in 2002. He translates architectural drawings for mechanical/ electrical trades and lays out required equipment needed for the completion of the project. Mr. Gan assists the engineers in design; sizing equipment to meet current cooling and heating loads. He also supports the engineers laying out plumbing and sprinkler; sizing pipes accordingly to meet required standards and code.

    EXPERIENCE

    Mr. Satriale joined the firm in 2020 after graduating from Rowan University with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Christopher interned at WSP for two years working on power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for high rise buildings in New York City and medical facilities.  As an Electrical Engineer Mr. Satriale works on the design and production  of Electrical drawings for power, lighting and fire alarm systems in AutoCAD and Revit.

    Ms. Cyril joined the firm in 2015. Bright and cheerful, enjoys opportunities to help clients when they call or visit our firm. She adds professionalism and warmth as you walk through our doors. She manages the front office daily operations which includes clerical support for staff, processing of shop drawings,  specifications,  database maintenance,  website maintenance, Quick Books entry, notarization of  documents, as well as scheduling vendor in office meetings with staff. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Cyril had a 15-year career in the Culinary Arts/Hospitality industry as an Executive Chef/Manager.
  • SUSAN BARILE - Financial Manager

    Ms. Barile joined Barile Gallagher Associates, P.C. in November 2015. She is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable and assists with all financial matters. She also manages the building at 39 Marble Avenue, Pleasantville where BGA is a tenant along with a ground floor restaurant tenant. Susan has a background in finance and real estate, working for 20+ years in the commercial real estate field and more recently as a Real Estate Salesperson arranging commercial mortgage financing for clients in the NY City area.
