DBOCES Receives Project Award!
BGA, in collaboration with KG+D Architects, designed the 66,000-square-foot, two-story career and technical education facility at Dutchess BOCES Salt Point Campus, which received the 2025 Outstanding Project Award.
The project is the Dutchess BOCES Salt Point Campus, located in Poughkeepsie, New York.
School Profile
- Designed as a transformative hub for learning, the project unifies the Salt Point Center (Special Education), Career and Technical Institute, and Alternative High School in one purpose-built facility serving K–12 students across 13 Dutchess County school districts.
- The project also introduced a valuable community resource: a 170-seat conference center at the front of campus, it serves as a civic anchor for professional development and community events, accessible year-round to local districts and organizations.
BGA designed the building’s complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including:
- High-efficiency secondary boiler plant
- VRF heat pump systems
- Energy recovery Ventilation
- Full Commercial Cooking Kitchen
- Data communications infrastructure
- Efficient LED Lighting and Control Systems
- Fire Alarm and Rescue Assistance Systems
